Joe Everett, LCSW, MSW

Counselor
Joe Everett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the mental health field for many years. Over these years of professional service (in counseling/therapy, child welfare, jails, psychiatric hospitals, as university professor) and in his personal life (as husband, father, and servant), Joe has been blessed to help many people overcome challenges and walk through difficult times. In our rapidly-changing world, Joe uses a holistic therapeutic approach that incorporates ancient/traditional wisdom and modern knowledge to address the mind, body, and spirit. Joe often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), but builds a therapeutic relationship with each person and his/her unique circumstances determine the best approach.
Today, Joe is a Coptic Orthodox Christian. Raised in a loving and devout protestant family, he encountered the Orthodox Church while studying Philosophy & Religion at Stockton University. Through classes in Christian history, personal study, relationships with key people, and God’s grace, Joe was baptized into the Coptic Orthodox Church in 2009. Along with his wife and two children, Joe has been a member of St. Anianus Coptic Orthodox Church in Monroe, NJ since shortly after it was started in 2013. He was ordained a Subdeacon (Epidiakon) in 2019 and is blessed to serve the Church community in a variety of ways.
